Mediation
I’ve been on both sidesof the table.
John began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County, then moved into insurance defense, representing employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation matters. For the past 18 years, he has represented injured workers.
Now, as a mediator, he brings that experience into the room — along with an understanding of the people, pressures and perspectives that make these disputes difficult to resolve.
Same field.Different chair.
Keep the decision at the table.
Mediation is a private, confidential process. A neutral mediator helps both sides identify the issues, communicate their positions and work toward an agreement they can both accept.
The mediator doesn’t decide who wins. The parties decide whether they can find a resolution.

Workers' compensation
More than 20 years within Georgia's workers' compensation system.
- 03

The process
A better conversation can change the direction of a case.
- 01
Before the mediation
John reviews position papers, settlement demands and relevant medical records provided before the mediation so he can understand the dispute before everyone sits down.
- 02
The conversation
Each side has an opportunity to communicate its position and concerns.
- 03
Finding common ground
John works with the parties to explore areas of agreement, identify obstacles and evaluate possible paths toward resolution.
- 04
Follow-through
When useful, follow-up is available after the initial mediation to help continue the conversation.
